Which version of ShipHazmat is right for me?
There are currently five versions of ShipHazmat. Standard Edition is ideal for shippers who ship various hazardous materials of different class hazards. Partial Edition is ideal for shippers who ship only specific hazardous materials of specific class hazards. Network Edition is ideal for businesses who require several users to use ShipHazmat for creating declaration forms. The Web Edition is ideal for businesses who either ship hazardous materials infrequently or have facilities around the world that all require ShipHazmat. The Ground Edition is a road/highway version of ShipHazmat that complies with Title 49 CFR regulations for shipping hazardous materials by road and highway within the United States.
What do I need to use ShipHazmat?
Anyone with a computer using Microsoft® Windows® 98 or higher can use any of the PC versions of ShipHazmat. Computers with an Internet connection are capable of using the Web Edition of ShipHazmat anywhere around the world at anytime.
Do I need to use the latest release of ShipHazmat?
Our easiest explanation is: Yes. Out-dated ShipHazmat software will most likely have out-dated regulations that govern the transportation of dangerous goods by air. To comply with these regulations, it's highly recommended that you always have the most recent version of ShipHazmat installed, and you check frequently in our Support section on the web for available patches and updates.
Can ShipHazmat print with red borders?
Yes, ShipHazmat prints with red borders by default. However, you can disable this feature if you have pre-printed paper with red borders already on it. This way, users can still use ShipHazmat regardless of the type of paper available.
How do I activate ShipHazmat after I purchase it?
After successfully installing ShipHazmat, you will be prompted for a required password. To receive this password, you must contact our office during office hours (609)860-0300 with the 5-digit red identification number (located on the same screen) and the password will be emailed to a valid email address.
When and where can I download/install updates and patches?
Updates and patches to ShipHazmat are available throughout the year, typically based on the latest regulatory updates made by IATA/ICAO. It is important that customers check periodically in our Support section for any available updates and patches to ShipHazmat. If updates and/or patches are available, it is highly recommended that users download and install the updates and/or patches to stay current with regulations.
Does ShipHazmat handle radioactive materials?
No, ShipHazmat does not handle Class 7: Radioactive Materials. However, ShipHazmat is capable of handling all other class hazards.
